I would've been hard pressed to buy one without the second console (I bought used, so it really wasn't a $$ factor). It won't be in the boat but maybe 20% of the time.....but that 20% is important to me. Wife or kid with me, or really cold, poor weather for my partner it will go in. Otherwise it is out and really opens the boat up.

I've had two Phoenix's with removable consoles. Never an issue with either one. My consoles stay in most of the times. I take them out some in spring and summer when I practice, otherwise they are in.

Well The CO is the wife and that's here rule since my first boat, she said I can get what ever boat I want as long as she has her own console so since then all have had duals and if that's her only stipulation I really cant argue LOL

The second console is a must for the wife! Run about 40 mph in 40 degree air and stick your head from behind the console! WOW!
You cant go wrong with the Phoenix.

I am looking at a 2016 Phoenix 921 pro xp and they are asking 50,000. It has a mercury 300xs with 180 hours. Good deal?

I guess that seems OK, however.... seems like a lot of hours and why a 300 XP? That is not a legal tournament boat in most cases on any major affiliated circuit. I would continue to look for a tournament legal boat unless you don't do tournaments.

Im thinking of a Phoenix as well - that said I have a Skeeter 20i and have had it up to 77mph and it has never chine walked. Point and shoot driving is one of the strong points of the Skeeter hulls.
