Question about buck's and antler's here in the area. Originally from IA. and our buck's loose their rack's around Jan. maybe Feb. I have deer on the place that still have their rack's a couple with half rack's and a couple with full rack's they aren't very big rack's, tall spike and tall fork, just seem's odd. Also thought i would toss in a couple of our IA photo's.
There is no patterning sheds. Some years when winter hits early and is harsh I start finding them before Christmas and by late January they have all dropped. No winter this year and didn't find first antler until late January. Still seeing bucks carrying both sides and half racks. 19 as of yesterday, usually find 30 a year. Been a rough shed hunting year for me.

We had a few holding them here in my area in eastern Iowa early march, we have a high population of does and with that possibly some late estrous does and that will keep testosterone levels up so they do not drop them early.
