About 2hrs each way is the max I will drive for a day of fishing. Any longer than that and it really takes the fun out of going. Conroe is on a 15 minute Drive to the ramp so i g we t my weekly beat downs from there.

The closest decent bass lake to me is around an hour and a half each way. I have gone as far as 2 1/2 hours each way occasionally! Not fun. One of the problems with living in the high desert.
I have no choice but 90 to 180 miles one way to fish around here. Nothing good for bass that is close.
I drive 1/2 mile to boat ramp.

45 minutes to 5 hours, depends on how I feel. castforcash I need to trade you a fishing, deer, or hog hunt down south to fish St. clair. on my bucket to go there and catch a small mouth, a walleye, and one of those yellow perch, and eat them on the bank.
Depends on which lake I want to fish. Anywhere from 5 minutes to 1 hour for the most part.
Let me know when you can make the trip. No need to trade me anything. I have taken several members out. I am of the believe that I am going fishing regardless, so I never expect anything in return. It's nice to meet new people and show them our fantastic fishery. Gonna be hitting the Detroit river next week, vertical jigging for walleye. My work schedule is crazy, but just give me advance notice and I will make it work.
2 hrs is about my limit for a day trip, as I get older long day trips are getting tougher on me. I just did a day trip to Belton 3+hrs 1 way, got back to the house at 9pm. That was tough.

My home lake is about an easy hour drive to get to it.
Numerous lakes within 30 minutes, more within an hour and they take up 90% of my time. I have a couple I like that are 2.5 hours one way and a cluster that's 6 hours one way. I hit the distant lakes once maybe twice a year and pound the closer stuff from March to December!
Depends where I'm going. Local small lake 900 acres 15 miles
Lake Geneva, Big Cedar, Peewaukee, Lake Como are all 45-60 miles away.
Winnebago chain of lakes 120 miles.
Sturgeon Bay 180 miles. I've done it on a day trip. Leave at 3am home by Midnight, but that's a lot in one day. Well worth it if the small mouth are schooling.
Man that sounds like a plan to me. I am retiring in March of next year, and I am planning to fish as many of the bass master top 100 as possible when I do. I understand you guys have a fishing season, so I will have to see when that is, and fish some places on my way up. but thanks for the invite.
1 to 3 hours for bass fishing. Rest of the time 5 minutes for salt water fishing :D
Been driving 3.5 hours each way one weekend day pretty much this whole winter.
3-4 hours tops...after that it gets kinda tough
Three lakes all about 50 miles or so away, nothing closer you can get a boat on. Call it an hour and 15 minutes each way every nice weekend
Boatless again but looking forward to Spring
Most of the time I can be at any number of different lakes from 15 minutes to 45 minutes from my house. But the drive back home can quadruple or more.
