    Transducer mounting hardware

Sorry for all the new posts lately, just filling up my brain with as much sonar data that I can before my purchase

I just got a new boat, the boat came with a Humminbird 500 series a believe??? but it has the XNT mount.

I want to purchase the Helix 7 SI and exchange the transducer for the XHS 9 HDSI 180 T, that is the correct one right?
Will I notice a difference in image quality on the smaller sized 7" screen?

I noticed that hardware to mount the HD to the transom has a similar hole pattern as the XNT.
Basically will it fit or will I have to drill more holes in my boat to fit the HD?

Does anyone have a pic of the two mounts together?

I really want to mount it in the same spot.

    Thanks for any info.

Yes, you will get sharper images with the HDSI.

The XNT has two slotted holes and the XHS has three. Spacing does not match.
