Yes I got it back on Wednesday, and went to charge my batteries for a tournament I was fishing on Sunday and noticed oil on the cement under my lower unit. Turns out I had about 10-15 oz of water in my LU oil.

it's always something just when you don't need it to be
Change the VST fillter I had mine do the same thing

is that that canister they put in the back of them now??
It is mounted on the Port side of the motor. It has a red cap on it they make a tool to replace it but you can do it using a screw driver most of your marine stores will have both the fillter and the tool.

oh the fuel filter as I call it, I need the special tool, my buddy has one, makes it much easier
I would change it I would bet that is your problem

Why are they having soo much problems with these now, I never had a problem out of my 2005 250XS
I know of 2 boats ( Bullets) from same dealer in your area that have been rigged with a gas line that is too small from tank to motor. A 1/4" gas line was replaced with proper size and top speed increased 7 mph.
what is the correct size?? mine came from Kentucky
xpress x19, 200ho G2, aluminum sawtooth cut prop, paper sack tackle storage, ugly stik pro team, color c-lector
I don't even know if K & J is still selling them, I think the closest dealer is in Tennessee unless Sartin Marine at Lake Fork is still a dealer
Sartin does show 2 new ones on their website
thanks!
If you do come to Sartin drop me a line and I'll come pick you up and we can hit Fork while they fix your boat.
If I get down that way, I'll look you up!! Haven't been to Fork in a LONG while
Bullet 250 did you ever find out what was going on with your motor

no not yet, went bed fishing Tuesday, didn't do it while idling, but went to get on pad and it surged and backed of again, need to take some time and find out what's going on. just been too busy
Ok, finally pulled the fuel filter, it looks dirty and there is some stuff in the bottom, kinda looks like filings, and as for the fuel lines, they are they same size, both are 5/16" but that's what came from Mercury with the boat
