Wow....Performance without Console

Just for grins, I took the Z7 on the river without the passenger console and the two folding seats. Amazing difference without that weight in the boat. I have the 2013 150 Pro XS with a Tempest Plus 24 and no jack plate. Does fine with the console and seats, but the bow lift and speed increase was more than expected. I had to try it to see if there was much change. Of course the console is back in the boat right now.

What did you gain? By only removing those items? I've been temped to slide my tm off and take everything but batteries out since it's so easy with the bins. I have gone past 76.2 with low fuel and wayyyyy to much load otherwise. Normal speeds for my z8 250 are 72.

Weight and wind reduction always equal more speed.
