    Deleting data

I have a Garmin 192c on a boat that I am selling. I would like to remove all data (tracks, routes, waypoints, etc) from this GPS before I sell it. Can anyone tell me the steps I need to go through to accomplish this. I don't want to delete the maps.

Are the maps on the card I have in the unit or does the maps reside in the internal memory of the unit?

Thanks to anyone who can offer some advice.

You cant delete the internal maps, so dont worry. Just remove the data card and it will be safe too.

As far as deleting tracks and waypoints, I have no clue on your mfd. You can download the manual here:

    https://support.garmin.com/support/m...=en&country=US

Or you could call customer support when you're in fron t of the unit and they can walk you through it.

It just occurred to me, you may have saved waypoints to the card, so you will need to check it too.
