    1997 Javelin 400se Setup Question

    I have a 97 Javelin 400se with a 2000 johnson 225 ho with a 10 inch jack plate prop to pad is 5 inches. 25p stainless prop running 60 at 5200rpm was wondering what prop to pad should be set at

    Way too low, with a good prop you should be able to run around 3" under, maybe higher.

    I would set it at 3" under and go for a run, see what numbers it posts up

    Thanks for the info and help i will try it also if i switch to the 4 blade 25 pitch it dogs getting out of the hole

    MY 400 likes the 3.5 to 4 range any higher I loose speed and gain a lot of wheel torque

    I'd start it at 4" under and then try raising it.
