Mike is trying to keep us off his honey hole!!
Rodney I've thought about Mozingo a lot over the years. Being 1,000 acres and probably getting more pressure per sqft of water surface than any lake in the country makes it marginal. Add to that the $100 fee and each boat paying a launch fee, plus a 1-year wait and I think it is not a player. It is a hell of a lake, but not really rally materiel.
Derek, we'd be drawing you back up towards your Mother Land!!
I am game for going to any lake you guys decide on because it is always a good time to see old friends and meet new ones .I will not be able to make Stockton on Oct 21 that is the fish off for Joe bass and I plan on qualifying again so if you can move it one way or the other Debbie and I will be there but don't move it for us
Ahh, now there is a good question. We have 2 options Oct 14 and Oct 21. Does it matter to anyone else? Rodney?

Let Me check My schedule,, I'll be Plenty busy ,,, BUT ,, I'm good with either...
Dropping Truman is cool but I don't see how you can call it a midwest rally without LOZ. I don't see why you would want Norfolk and Beaver. LOZ in mid March would be awesome.
Stockton on the 21st would be better. That gives a few weeks between F3 and the Rally.
There are guys that drive a long ways for every rally, I think a northern lake or two in the rotation just makes sense.

Alf I actually agree with you WHAT WHAT did I say??? LOZ in mid March would be fine. So you'd replace Beaver with LOZ? I like LOZ but it doesn't draw many folks. I don't have the numbers from the last one we had in the Spring, but it was in April or even early May and the big boats wore us out. The one before that was in March and there were 3 fish over 6 lbs caught and I think Rodney had one right at 7 lbs. But, would moving LOZ with poor fall turn out to the Spring increase the turn out or would it just get poor turn out in the Spring? I'm skeptical if it would get more people to show. I didn't put it on the cut list because I don't like it. I do like it!
Beaver Lake drew 14 boats the last time. So not too bad, but nothing like Bull (28 & 30 boats) Table Rock (29 & 20 boats, Rally IV had 24 boats) Grand (18 (ice bowl), 21, and I remember 27 boats for Rally V) Stockton pulled 21 boats the last time, Pomme only drew 13 and 10 for the 2 there.
So for organizing purposes Truman, LOZ, and then Pomme are the toughest to get people to attend. Like I said in previous posts, I think all the lakes we hit should be popular and people should want to attend. Okoboji would get one shot to show it will draw the numbers to keep it on the list. I think our southern regulars will give it a shot and then if we draw 10 "new" Northern boats a few will potentially stay with us and migrate south for other rallies. If Norfork draws like Bull then it'll be a winner.
Attendance speaks volumes. I wish I had attendance numbers for all the rallies for comparison. The early organizers didn't keep that data.
I'm good with either date. We could always try Okoboji and if it fails go back to LOZ the next rotation.

Two wrongs don't make a right , but three lefts do.
If Mike and Debbie can do the 14th let's see which weekend is Rodney's off weekend. The Regatta's are light for both weekends right now (21st has 2 w/45 boats and 14th has 3 w/22 boats, so lodging shouldn't be an issue due to T's. I have a club bass T here on the 21st, so the 14th is actually better for me, but I can do either. Anyone else have issues with either date?
I have a club t on the 15th but don't schedule around me. My schedule is very hit and miss right now.

It doesn't matter to me which dates you choose for Stockton.......no matter which date you pick Wyatt will be missing tests, state assessments, homework, and who knows what else. I will be in the dog house either way, it is what it is.
I rather fish the 21 but I game for either one. As for LOZ I'm not fishing it in spring or fall.
Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!
I'm down for LOZ. Norfork would be great and a mirror copy of the bull shoals tourny as far as BCB, Legend and Ranger. Plenty of places to stay and the fishing in the spring and fall are great.
