We are going to look at the map and find on that is as centrally located for the most people as possible. We also want to make sure it is not comeones home lake. Right now it looks like Lanier, Sinclair, or maybe a Coose R. lake.

Need to think about accommodations, Not sure about Sinclair. Lanier, not much on the south side, Gainesville can be sketchy. Got to try and keep it between 6 to 8 hour drive time,10 tops. Don't matter though..I'd help out anyway I can. Have grill and fryer will travel.

Folks, based upon everyone's location input, we have settled on Lake Lanier. This thirty-eight thousand acre impoundment is located a short forty miles north of Atlanta, GA. It’s six hundred and fifty plus miles of shoreline and seventy two boat ramps allows for easy access to some of the best fresh water fishing east of the Mississippi. Lake Lanier is known for having three highly prized targeted species of fish: largemouth bass, Kentucky spotted bass and striped bass. Bass fisherman prize this impoundment, as largemouth in excess of seventeen pounds have been taken from this lake. Tournament anglers regularly catch fish in excess of five pounds and fish up to eight pounds are not that uncommon. Kentucky spotted bass are probably the most frequently caught fish of the “big three”. The average size of a spot found in most lakes and rivers around the country is anywhere from one to one and a half pounds. A three pound spot would be considered a giant in most eco-systems. Not on Lake Lanier! While there are many similarly small fish caught on Lanier, the average spot found on this lake easily pushes two to three pounds with fish up to five pounds considered common. Every year we see fish being caught in the six to seven pound class. This lake is considered to be one of the top three Kentucky spotted bass fisheries in the country!

We will be deciding a date and location in the upcoming weeks. All can tell you about that right now is it will be either in the Fall of 2017 (but not October so as to not conflict with the TOC on Table Rock) or early Spring before the crazy recreational boaters hit the lake.

In addition, the database we have on our Facebook Page indicates that none of that group call Lanier their home lake. I will be setting up a FB page dedicated to the TOC in a week or two. More later!

I've got a ChampioN Banner y'all can use for your TOC. I let the TB TOC use it this year and it should be getting back to me soon. You're welcome to it. Best of luck in your tourney!
