Mine is over 20 years old. Never covered. Replaced the burner once and replaced flavorizor bars with the stainless ones. The small wheels have broken off but that doesn't seem to make any difference on the steaks!!!

I have a Jenn air grill that is over 15 years old and not one problem. Of course, in the last 3 years it's hardly been used. I use the Grill dome for everything now.

Mine has not been but it's far enough under it that it does not get were when it rains.

My dad's old Weber gas grill is still going strong after more than 20 years spent uncovered underneath a sap-dripping oak tree. I had to replace the propane tank hose and valve when the old valves were legislated out of the marketplace, but that's it.

I bought a stainless Weber Genesis grill because my eight year old Vermont Castings grill rusted out and I don't want to have to mess with a cover. They should change the Vermont Castings name to Vermin Castings, because it has nooks and crannies in which field mice love to build nests.

After three years, my Weber still looks and works great, although I did have to replace the plastic knobs after only one season, because the plastic deteriorated. I called Weber service and it shipped out a new set of knobs at no charge. So far, so good with the new knobs.

I think so. I use one, keeps wind, dust, sun and birds off of it. When I take my cover off it is nice and clean and ready to go.
