    RUnning lights on power poles

Has anyone done this and does is it an acceptable replacement for rear running light? Boy it would be nice not to have to get pole out of box and take it down. Aftermarket kit or what?

How did you attach it to the power pole? Small bolt and lock nut through an existing hole?

the first time when the poles were red I used 3m tape as a cushion and ran screws into a piece of plastic on the inside, when I took them off to get the pole dipped I could hardly get them off for the 3m holding on , so far this time I have not put the screws back in yet

That light is probably the easiest and safest way to go. Who knows what water patrol or DNR would say with the dual side mounted on the Poles. I know it needs to be an unbroken white light higher than the highest point on the craft (Power Poles) for us that have them.

The Russell Marine light looks really big and bulky. I'm thinking the way Drewtick went with the two LEDs is the way to go for me. I don't fish at night so the lights would really be for running to the first stop early in the morning as a cautionary measure. If I did get an itch to go fish at night I could still use the stock pole.

yes its nice at blastoff and when you get to the fist spot its usually daylight anyway and no pole in the way to take down.

Russell does have a nice product, just doesn't suit my style either.
