    Battery charger help..

Guys, I need help with my battery charging system needs. I have a 36v trolling motor and a cranking battery, 4 batteries total. How many banks must my on board charger have? All all of my trolling batteries be considered a single bank, which would allow me to use a 2 bank charger....

Technically you would need a 3 bank cause the motor can charge the cranking battery but in my opinion, get a 4 bank to keep the cranking fresh......

Your TM batteries are connected in series which three 12 volt batteries equals 36 VDC. If you connect one bank of any charger to any one of the 3 TM batteries you will only charge that particular battery and the other two will not be charged. The proper method is to use a 4 bank charger, one bank per battery.

Get a Stealth One Charger and it will have a much smaller foot print and keep all 4 batteries charged.

that's what I installed in mine. The cranking battery charges the trolling battering when running or plugged in.
