Saw 52° today in the backs of creeks. Wind was howling hard, so I didn't hang around too long. The wind does what it wants with my lil ol' boat. Lol.

As I suspected the dock at the north ramp will not be put back in the water until the corp of engineers decide to raise the water levels........................

I would expect the ramps to be moved as I've heard this level now is the "new" summer level .. something about controlling water so west baden does not flood so easy

South yes but north is a mess, just to get my boat back on the trailer I had to back in until my back tires were in the water. According to the park maintenance they aren't going to change or move anything until the Corp of Engineers decides to raise water levels...it's a bunch of BS!! The last time they pulled this crap we went through a drought summer.......

Thanks Robert. Wonder why they aren't letting the lake come up?

It was a real mess this past weekend from what I saw, and these were bass boats trying to put out and then load up...............just wait until the pleasure boaters storm that ramp in the next few weeks!

Was planning to take my son to KY Lake this week but work got in the way of his spring break hopes. Anyway, I'll be driving home Saturday and have time to fish Patoka. I've only been there once and that was in 2005. Based on what I've read above it sound like its not even fishable. Should I just pass on this and go on home? Could it be better this week?

    Ggodwin,

It's very fishable. Most of the ramps are fine to put the boat in. If you go to Newton Stewart South, you shouldn't have any issue. I don't think there are any huge tournaments going out this weekend or anything. Fishing will probably be tough. But, if you get some bites, they will probably be good ones!
