Not needed on ultrex. Just secure the cables right to the shaft like you would on any other trolling motor

it's more for the pure electric motors than the ultrex. precision sonar has a similar product
Need? Absolutely there is a need but as brewer said perhaps not for the Ultrex. Trying to figure out how attaching that clip to the shaft is going to work on the terrova's and Ulterra's I've owned, don't see how it could.
