    2004 206 Questions

I have a 2004 206 with a Yamaha 250 0x66.I have a Fury 3 blade 25. At 5800 rpms getting about 62 full load,8" manual jackplate. I want to put a hydraulic jack plate on it- any ideas on size 8,10 or 12? Anybody run a Fury 4? 25 or 26? I have deal on a 10" Atlas and a 26 Fury 4 blade- any comments or suggestions are welcome. Also,I keep reading horror stories about leaf springs on Champion Trailers and a recall-Anyone out there know the truth?

I have an 08 210. It is rigged with a 10" Atlas hydraulic. Not sure anything bigger would be better. I run a Tempest Plus 25 worked by Mark Croxton. With a 250 Pro XS. 2 guys and full fuel and tourney load 67 is about where I am at 5800 rpms.

Steve at HydroDynamics said the 12" has the best performance. I run an 8" manual plate. You should be seeing better numbers than that. I don't know what the rev limiter is for that motor, but I would think a 24 or 25 would be better for the Fury 4 blade...

Don't waste your money on a fury4 in 26, you'll never spool it up to the right rpms.

    I'm running a 206 with a 225 H.O ETEC which is close to 250 and have a 24 Fury4 and love it.
You may want to try a 25 as my rig has lots of gear and I normally run in warmer weather. Good luck! 62 is a little slow I'm thinking you should see at least 66-68 if you don't have Power poles and lots of extra weight.

12" plate will be the best.

I have a 2003 206 haven't heard anything about leaf spring packs going bad. I am using Trophy 24 on my 206 (10'' Slidemaster) with a 250XS engine. Prop was worked way back by Mark C. You should be able to do better that 62mph. You need lift out of that prop.

Leaf spring situation was on older trailers. Dri-doc, I think. mid to late 90s.
