I have a Ranger 487 with no jack plate and have searched all over but cannot find any pictures of transducer installation on my boat model I have 3 pictures of possible locations I have a Stern Saver to mount under the built in jack plate if that's the best location the 3rd picture will be back further toward the motor but it's on my built in set back, not to concerned about reading on plain.

Having some issue with pictures will post once I figure it out.
Start with a transducer mounting plate.

Mount it to your motor mount. Find a spot that you can get clearance under the mount and install on the side. Works great...
