Ardent Line Butter?
Well, I'd like to know if this Ardent product works as I have read good comments about "Reel Butter." Is "Ardent Line Butter" a good product? I have read about complaints of it being too oily. If it's used sparsely, does it work? I can understand if too much is put on it would be a problem...

To be honest, I think it does work somewhat. If you're spraying really old line or kinky line, I think it helps a little. But for new line and to constantly be spraying it on your reel, it does nothing. And yes, it is very oily. It's kind of a pain. However, like I said, if you keep your line on your reel for a long time then I suggest you pick up a bottle.

I generally use reel magic but picked up a can of line butter last year on clearance. I used it once and threw it away. I think I would have been in better shape using white lithium grease. I stripped the line off when I got home and cleaned my reel, it was bad.
