    2003 evinrude 225?

    looking at a Stratos Pro Elite with a 2003 evinrude 225 on the back, any thing in need to look out for? any advice would be appreciated!

    Have it checked out by a trained technician and have him pull an engine report a $100 spent now could save you thousands down the road. They are great motors and are made by BRP but do it for piece of mind.

    What Champman said...I ran my 03 225HO for 12 years...I now have a 250 but the 225ho ran better...I have it on a bench ready to look into...those DFI engines are some torque monsters for their era....If it checks out I would'nt hesitate to buy it....JMHO

    I had an 03 250 DFI on my Ranger 521vx and that thing would jump out of the hole and get to top speed quick. Loved that motor! Like Bassmeister said, get it checked out, then go for it!
