    Champion Decal

Anyone know where I can find this exact decal?
I bought it at the last TOC but left it in the garage over the summer.
Unfortunately it got so hot that it baked the paper onto the vinyl and
now I can't remove the paper without pulling the vinyl off with it.
Looked on Amazon and eBay but could not find this style.

Thanks Ed! The "New Style 2" is awfully close didn't want the raised and embossed but will probably resort to that barring an exact match.

Is it domed? If so, you may want to check out http://shop.domednumbers.com/product/champion-decal

Nope it's just a regular flat vinyl decal but it's two tone and the grey inside is almost a dead ringer, far as I can tell, for the color of my Safe-Floor deck covering.

EDIT: Oh but those are sweet!

The logo you are showing looks like the "old style 90's". The old style 90's looks like an exact match.

Have you tried a hairdryer to see which will give first? The paper side should give first...

Thanks Ed, will know what to ask for now.

dkennimer I have tried a heat gun and wetting the paper to loosen grip without success. I have reapplied and will try a little Dawn in the water this time along with heat. Hope that will manage to break the bond between the paper and vinyl.

I'm needing new console decals as well. Have y'all had good experience with Vinyl Approach? I contacted him a while back, pretty standard deal, sent photos, told him what I needed, his replies were pretty slow, kind of just dropped the ball. And if I recall correctly, the estimate for 2 flat, not domed or embossed decals for the consoles was $70, kind of ouch there. Maybe he was just really busy when I was trying to get something worked out....

    Got it!

Soaked it with a solution of water and a few drops of dawn liquid dish soap. Then after several hours hit it with heat gun and peel slowly, one small wrinkle on the 'C' but otherwise its perfect. Thanks Ya'll!

That's pretty pricy, got 2 at the auction for $20! But if you find the right ones it could be worth it.

That's a pretty nice looking decal right there. I could use a couple of those.
Good ole' dawn soap... A multitude of uses.

Matt Mosher got that decal for last years TOC auction. Bought two of them but ruined the first trying to apply it, can't remember who made them, Matt?
