    Powerpole problems

    Hey all,

Recently I have noticed when I drop my Power-Pole down by double tapping the switch, sometimes when it makes bottom contact it continues to run and go further into the bottom. It will also do the same when I bring it up and I have to hit the switch again to stop it. Is this a motor problem or a switch problem?

    Thanks

Did you recently tighten any hardware on the pole? It can cause this to happen.
if not then you need to adjust your sensitivity. you can do this thru the App.. You can adjust both the up and the down sensitivity.
Not a motor or switch problem no...

Yep, adjust the sensitivity up. One of my 2 blades that I installed yesterday will continue to run even though it's retracted fully. Today I'm going to tweak all the settings through the app.

If one pump runs a little longer than the other and u useing the app say the one shutting off and other runs a little longer which way you go. Say up is on 5. Slide it to 7 or to 3

If the unit continues to run once retracted, increase the sensitivity. If the unit stops running prematurely, decrease the sensitivity. If the unit turns off prematurely during deployment, decrease the sensitivity.
If the unit continuous to run once anchored, increase the sensitivity. Please make sure you have the latest firmware installed as well.

Firmware is updated and the sensitivity dont help. If I hold the down button to lower poles then double tap to raise them everything is fine the pumps shut off once poles are up. But if I double tap down then double tap to bring the poles up the pumps continue to run for10 sec.

Does temperature make a difference? Mine does that on cool mornings I have noticed. I thought is has to do with the viscosity of the oil at cooler temps. After a couple times up and down the oil warms up or the lines get full enough to make quicker responses. Just a thought. Mine seems to work it’s way through the problem. Never does it in the summertime.

During cool weather, the pumps will automatically slow down their speed. The reason for this is cold hydraulic fluid does not move through the pump as efficiently as it would in warmer temps so they slow them down slightly to improve the bottom sensing and anchor stowed shut off. This speed will increase as the ambient temperature rises or continued operation "warms" the unit up.
