Guys running ETEC 200 HO on 294's

Can you guys that are running the 200 HO on the 294 tell me what prop to pad measurements are you set at?Once I get the boat out I want to try and re-adjust, so I am interested to hear where people found the sweet spot.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

Haven't played with the adjustment that Ranger Rodney set it at when I bought it new. 3 1/8

3.25" - 6" jackplate - 26P Raker 2, and it could probably be raised some more.

No etec but I'll share my 200 SHO, started at 3.5 and came up to 2.25. Ran ok but settled in back at 2.75. Good water pressure and handles great to 67-68. After that hold on and and pay attention. She'll get out of hand quick

I have a 200 pro xs. This is exactly how mine is. I've seen 73 but I litterally can not drive it in the 70s and ive come to grips with that. I just wonder if 2" extenders would help.

I honestly don't know, it runs to 69 or so easy at only 55-5600 rpm but I just accepted that this boat walks and never push the issue

You need to prevent the walk. Youtube it or use the search function here. Plenty of good explanations of the mechanics.

Mine does. The faster the worse off it gets. Like Hchamberlin said, I can take my hands off the wheel at 67 at 5500....you give it gas and it gets out of hand quick.

I have the same issues. After I pull it out of winter storage and spend a couple weeks behind the wheel, I can run it up to 71. But you have to stay on top of it, so that's not much fun. I have a six inch manual plate At 2.75" 4blade renegade. Because it's a manual plate I have just left it there after adjusting a couple years ago. Took me long enough to get it to that point. Thought aye I'd play with it again this year.
