However, with the added weight and setback of the G2, this boat sits uncomfortably low in the stern.
Your sig before repower looks normal. Didn't realize that the G2 would make the stern sink so low in the water.

At still, is checking horizon across front of the elevated bow sitting in the boat driver's seat compromised? Is it more tiring on the feet to stand on the tilted front deck making casts after several hours?

    Not at all.

    Standing anywhere is more tiring.

Actually, it flattens out pretty good when I'm up front. But I haven't had it in the water long enough to fish.

What size is the jackplate is it and did you install one about 4-6" smaller when the G2 was rigged?

You should have been given the owners manual for the motor when both you and the dealer signed the required PreDelivery Inspection form needed to register the engine for warranty.

If not you can download a free copy at http://www.operatorsguides.brp.com

The JP is 5.5". It's the same plate that I used with my original motor but I also had a 2.5" spacer with that setup . I removed that for the G2. I'm still thinking about removing the plate altogether and just mounting the motor straight to the transom.

BRP sent me an updated owners manual. I never received a PDI from the dealership. 

If you remove that jackplate, moving the weight of the motor forward should raise the stern.

That fish is very long, unlike our fish short and fat, nice catch.
