Yep that's what a lot of them say. I love bass fishing, but i know better then to think the stripers have hurt the bass fishing. Of course i also love a good topwater night time striper bite too.

That's 2 days, not 4. They cut it down after the first 2 days.

If we get another arctic blast the entire first week week of April, weights will be cut in half for the majority of the field. 40-44 lbs will win if cold front holds all week.
Scott Martin had a four day total of 60 lbs 1 oz...that's about as close to 15 lbs a day average as you can get. I made my weight prediction 3 weeks before the tournament started. Only thing that suprised me was no one out of a 160 boat field had a 20 lb bag. Other than that it went just like I thought it would. Congrats to Scott Martin

Actually you said 40-44 would win in a cold front. We had a massive cold front

First two days were cold...last two were warm so I guess you can take my 40-44 cold and 60 warm and average them together and get 50 something

Was a good event- the boys and I walked down to the ramp yesterday prior to weigh in and saw Martin Yamamoto Fukui etc point blank taking their fish out to be weighed- was pretty neat. Also this has been about the best gradual rise in the lake that I've seen- in fact lake was in great shape for the tourney relatively speaking

From the little bit I got to watch, I saw a lot of jerkbaits, spinnerbaits and drop shots. Occasionally you'd see pitching a jig but not a lot. I didn't get to see much either so maybe somebody with more knowledge can chime in..

Here is his 3 day practice video. It is long and entertaining but I like how he shows the use of Google to break down a lake. Plus girl Scouts in KY pack the heat
