How to prevent Rust from starting in your tackle tray

I used to do this in my hook and weight box. Some stronger hooks have more Iron in them to strengthen them.

But with that being said some hooks a susceptible to rusting more than others.

This trick as done me So good lately. Especially up here ice fishing when everything gets wet with the snow.

Ask someone at a Dr' Office to save all the desiccants from the sample bag, i save them at work a bagful at a time and give them to friends.

Those little packs do well. I turned that in to Mepps as a tip back the early to mid 80's and won a spinner kit.

If you know a pharmacist they give you all you could ever want! Been doing this for years.

Warm the silicagel packets in the oven on low heat to dry them out and recycle them.

Jason Christie did a tackle tip Tuesday where he talked about asking your local pharmacy about the dessicants from prescription bottles.

    It works.
