Well I just updated my Onix 10 SI CT to 3.0. It took a long time. It mu st be pretty much a rewrite of most of the code. Any way in my garage it seemed to function fine. The on the water test will have to wait until later.

Thanks for the feedback on the update. I've been hesitant to try it after the problem I had with 2.7.
Just remember my unit is in the garage not on the water. According to what I found at Humminbird they fixed a multitude of issues that we all knew existed. Hope we are even happier with the units now.

3.000 had significantly more real world testing done prior to release. I do not believe you will see as many issues as there were with 2.7.

The one thing I was missing going from the Helix to the Onix was the color pallets. Now that's fixed about 20 something 2d and 12 or so imaging.
I don't recall ever seeing a manual update detailing the changes and added features of 2.7. Hopefully there will be an operator manual for 3.0.
That would be surprising if they updated the manuals.

Just did the update and played with it a little, so far I like it and can't wait to get out on the water with it.
I'm 1800 miles away from my ONIX for another few weeks so I can't see for myself so can someone tell me if the panes on a multi-pane view can be resized now?

How long is everybody having to wait for the download process once they start. My computer is saying 6 hrs and I have high speed internet. I can play videos no problem.

Have a question. Downloaded update on SD card as directed. went to upload into unit. inserted SD card and instead of having the 3.0 update show up, a tab appears on left column at bottom under export data that says "encrypted SD card 1" afraid to hit it because it doesn't look like instructions i printed up? Should I hit encrypted icon or abort? If I remove card the encrypted icon dissapears.
