Saw it last night too. No pics or we were told we would have been escorted off the property. It's gonna fill the gap people are looking for with the options people want. Best of all it'll fit in 8 foot garages for those folk with smaller garages. It's got plenty of everything that's popular with today options but not overly fancy or frilly. It is much wider than the old classic and they're taking advantage of the "wide bodies" styles I the day. It was sitting next to a margay and with is about the same when eye balling it and obviously longer.
Yes It has square lids with a divider Rick said they plan on tweaking them bigger.
Doesn't sound like the layout is much different then than other rigs.
Beam is 90", but the beam goes forward into the bow. Very similar to the Margay.
Sounds pretty cool. I've been wanting them to come out with a 18-19' boat with that different "Bass Cat layout"
The Pantera and Sabre are nice but I like the coffin lids and different designs they use on the premium boats.
When will Bass Cat start taking orders for the classic?
They have standing orders at this time.
I looked at the Pantera classic over the weekend. Damn is all I got to say. Awesome boat but we couldn't take pics.
Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!
Actually, the interior deck beam is very large. It's all about how it's done. Many just think beam by measuring the outside, this one will fish a lot larger and the offset deck lids will help it fish even bigger.
Ha Ha Ha, BCB definitely knows how to make a Wide Boat....Its called Skinny Gunnels and Beam Forward Cap design.....Think a 96inch Wide Pontoon boat, its way wider than a 96inch Bass Boat or Bowrider
I guess I will just have to see it in person.
My 2003 classic is a 93" beam, but like a lot of older hull designs the widest point is at the stern and it gets progressivly narrower as you go toward the bow. Not to mention you lose useable width from the top cap. It's actually quite a narrow front deck compared to most other similar size bass boats Ive been in. A 90" beam that carried all the way forward, especially coupled with a narrower gunwale, would feel like a significantly larger boat.
This gives you a sense of the deck on an older classic--Im 6'3" tall and the pic is a bit foreshortened, but still you can see its pretty narrow up there. I have no doubt even though the new Classic is narrower overall, that it will feel like a much bigger boat. (Sorry pic turned sideways on me, but you get the idea)

This is the boat I will be getting! Dual axle, 200 ProXS, dual 10ft Poles, Helix 10 SI in dash, Helix 9 SI up front, Defiantly going to consider Lithium battery setup! Thing should fly with a 26p Fury!
Center rod box. Now we're talking. Finally.
Wonder how many rods can fit in that rod box. Love the center box as well. Looking forward to actual pictures
