I have a boat that has been built and just waiting on a verado pro 250 but the wait is going to be longer than I would like so looking at Alternatives. I was wondering if anyone is running a verado 300 on a bass boat and what gear case you are running if it is 1.75 or 1.85. Thank you.

I have a Ranger Z522 with a Verado 300 on it and the gear case is 1.75. To be such a big, heavy boat it runs very well at 70 mph with the stock 23 tempest prop. I haven't tinkered with it since I bought it but may try a different prop and jack plate height to see if I can gain any top end speed later this year. I believe you would really like the 300 Verado.
