No experience with this reel from anyone
Just bought three of these, two casters and one spinning. I haven't got them yet but they should be here by Friday. Will report back.

I also just started having this issue and my rocket is just over a year old. Has anyone sent theirs off for repair to find out what is causing this?
I have several that have been fished hard including a week in Mexico catching lots of big bass with no problems. I would contact factory for warranty and return it for repair or replacement.
