    Talons on 920

Hey guys Ive got a new 920 on order at the moment, I'm coming out of a legend 211 which sat much higher on the trailer, I have noticed the phoenix seems to sit very low on the trailer compared to other boats so I'm wondering if any of you guys have 10- 12' talons on your boat and can you back through a standard 7' tall garage door without tilting it down? My 12' did not fit on my legend but I'm wondering if I switch to 10' combined with a boat that doesn't sit as high....sure would be nice to just hit the opener and back in the door without getting in and out multiple times. Thanks for any info.

Were your old talons the 3 stage or the older design? The new 3 stage talons just sit slightly higher than the motor.

I believe 10' & 12' are the same height. Not totally sure. You'll need 8' doors.

I have 12' 3-stage Talons on my 2013 Phoenix 920 and they stand 83" from the concrete. Both Talons have about 2-3" protruding from bottom of the mount bracket so they could be raise more by that amount.

    I have 8' doors.

My 10' Talons fit in my 7' garage door without tilting. I have a 721 Phoenix. They're about the same height as the motor cowling.

    I have a 2015 920 with a 12' talon and it clears my 7' door by 2".

I have 12' talons on my 921. I have no problems with garaging the boat with an 8' garage door. I would share a picture that shows the height of the 12" talons in relation to the motor if I could ever get a picture to attach...

I just installed 12 foot Talons on my 2016 920 and the height from the garage floor to the top of the Talons is 82.5 inches. My Talons are mounted to an Atlas jack plate the height could be different depending on how they are mounted. Hope tis helped.
