Mercury to Mercury Motor Swap need some help...

I posted this in the motor forum as well but I figured I'd ask if anybody on the G board had done it before ans had any info.. Thx!

Well..... After almost 18years of loyal and flawless service my 1999 Mercury 225 efi(that is still in amazing condition) is moving on to someone else who is just as happy to have it! My question is this for those of you or any Merc experts; What items can I order ahead of time to prepare for the engine swap coming in the next two weeks? Going from:
a 1999 225 EFI serial# 0G839615 to---------->>> 2012 250 Pro XS serial #1B933816 any suggested parts or part numbers associated with this swap would be appreciated.

anything like the following would be very helpful!!

1.) smartcraft gauge- part number #12345
2.) new ignition switch- #12345
3.) wiring adapter #12345

anything to look for or to do on these newer motors as far a operating must know's or maintenance quick tips?

If you want to monitor fuel and oil tanks you'll need a wiring harness to accomplish that. It's a separate harness from the engine.
