Which prop for better top end on a h18 150 vmax
Sounds to me like the TXPs have a better top end. I'd like to try one, but never have. I'm on the limiter with a 23 Trophy so I bought a 24 for my Merc. The trophy handles really well. I've also ran a 23 and 24p Tempest which are kind of loose especially if I was by myself, it started to chine walk over about 56mph.
With a tournament load, two people, and not too much tackle up front 6" manual plate:
23p Trophy Plus: 56-58
23 Tempest Plus: 58-59
24 Tempest Plus: 59-62mph
24p Trophy Plus: ??? waiting for the ice to clear
My motor also has a lower gear ratio than yours.
