Well,it's not fancy, but I went to Walmart and got the white plastic one with three suction cups. It looks like a double cup holder and has slots cut for pliers or scissors and has holes around the edges to hang lures. I put it to the right of the front deck step. Works for me.

This is what I use. It is a small belt tool holder got it free with a larger tool bag I purchased. Just put it on with wire ties. Been on for 4 years now. You can get them at Lowes or Home Depot.

What I have. I mounted mine on the inside of my rod box. I, also, have one from xpress on my recessed trolling pedal.

Rogers Mfg. ( injection molded plastics co.) has a neat holder that mounts on the seat pedestal. It is made to hold 2 bottles size of Reel Majic and two implements, scissors and needle nose pliers. I know that BPS and the big box stores carry it. I have one of those and several ballistic nylon tool holsters hose clamped to my pedestal.

I got this one and love it. No drilling required. I was nervous about just having the double-sided 3M tape (included) but I have had my boat in the roughest waters and it never budged. I learned about it here on BBC.

I built one today for my boat. I bought a cheap plastic pencil cup from Wal-Mart and using a drill made holes in the bottom for my pliers and line scissors. Then I attached it to the side of my console with no marring wall hanger Velcro strips. We used it to secure stuff at sea in the Navy so I think it should with stand rough water but it still breaks away if you hit it with your leg while moving around.
