Onix 10 SI or Helix 10 SI mega?

I think I can get either of these for close to the same price... well within a couple hundred I think...

Which would be the better unit? I have a Helix 10 DI at the bow which does a solid job... no complaints there.

All I share now are waypoints with my 898...

Have you tried to share Side Imaging from the 898 to the Helix ?

The Helix 10 MEGA SI speaks the same language as your Helix 10 DI and the 898--share more stuff than with the ONIX.

I tried sharing the 360 with the 898 and it would freeze up. I haven't tried anything else since then. My 898 is acting up.. button sticking... weird stuff... Thinking about replacing it with either the Helix 10 mega SI or the Onix 10 SI... those Solix units are going to be out of my price range.

You can only share waypoints with an ONIX or SOLIX.

Helix WILL share WP's with xx8/xx9 series, and the H10MSI is a LOT more machine that the H10 1st generation -which blows the doors off any xx8 series!!

If you can swing a Helix MSI unit Greg, grab one!!

My opinion is that if you are happy with the HELIX product line, you should build a HELIX network. The ONIX is older technology and is being upgraded under the SOLIX family. The ONIX/SOLIX and HELIX/Core are truly to different product families that play well with each other and minimally across the the 2 technologies.

    One person's opinion...
