    921 PHX Pricing

I realize that posting actual pricing of a new boat is frowned upon, but I am looking at a 2017 921 PHX equip with the following:
    250SHO
    112 Minn Kota Ultrex
    2 8ft blades
    2 Hummingbird Helix 10 SI G2
    2 Hummingbird Helix 10 DI G2
    Hot foot
    padded deck
    painted Gatorhyde on the trailer
I was quoted a price my dealer said was 6k off list price, but I don't know what the list is. PMs appreciated.

I saw one listed for 72k with dual poles and other options. Which would put it around the mid to high 60k mark. Also depends a lot on dealer.

I'd say mid-high 70s depending on the dealer. If you were getting a merc it'd be closer to the mid-70 range I think.

Not sure what the list price for the boat is but I do know that the 250 SHO MSRP is $22,955. Hope that helps.

Geez that's almost exactly what I have but the Mercury and I gave 53 for it with 80 hours on the motor. Spent a few gs on warranty till 2023. Ain't no way I'd ever buy another new one

Way to much. The price of boats now is just plain insane. No one can tell me that the coast of fiber glass and cloth has gone up that much. Motor = 20,000 trolling motor = 1,700 trailer = 4,000 wiring = 700 graphs = 4,000 batteries = 800 charger = 400 pumps = 500 hyd jackplate = 1,500 miscellaneous 4,000. All this and it comes up to 37,600 and that is 32,000 less. I guess this means the boat alone cost 32,000

It's not insane if the factory is 3 months behind with orders. I'd call that pricing your product perfectly

You do realize that the 32000 is the cost of the boat and the profit for the boat company and the boat sales that sold the boat. they both have to make money or they can not stay in business. I do not know of anyone that works for free and we all want all we can get. I want them to make money so they can sale me the next boat and the boat sales can fix my boat after the sale. just my .02

Then there's a building, taxes, workmans comp, wages, wages for people who don't even touch the boats, insurance , communications. Electricity , water, I bet a person would be completely surprised when they see the bill just for the building a year

Yes I do understand all of those things, My first boat LS205 Hydro-Sport 1995 model 24,000 and now one like that is 55,000 or better. The price has over doubled and they both float and not much has changed on boat building. Please know I am not trying to step on toes but how high can the price go before you start to see QUALITY go out the window. Yes he companies have to make money to stay and the power and water usage would not surprise me.

Are boat prices crazy? Heck yea but we keep buying so why drop them? As long as they sell at these prices then there is absolutely no reason to stop drop them. That's just business. I think a lot of America has forgotten that WE control or can control a lot of this overpriced stuff we buy. It's nobody's fault but ours. That's not just boats, thats everything. I bought one so I'm just a part of the problem too. Also, I don't believe for one minute all this profit margin that dealers talk on here. They aren't hurting

If you don't like the price you have every right to not buy one.

Boat prices are so high because people are willing to practically mortgage a house to buy one. As long as people are willing to spend $300 a month on a boat payment, then next year boat prices will increase and then it'll be $350 a month, then $400 a month the following year. This is how they're so high now. 7/10 Americans live paycheck to paycheck or off a credit card, and year after year the prices of all(nearly) goods increase. It's an individual's decision ultimately, but is spending $400 a month on an object that depreciates as fast as it does responsible? You're taught in Econ 101 if quantity demand increases, then prices will increase. If the amount of people are willing to make $400-$500 payments a month increases, then next year the price will increase. It's called a bubble, housing, automobile, boats, etc. it's all the same.

Low interest rates long term financing. When interest rates increase sales will fall.
