Lights for under consoles and how installed

Looking for options on what types of lights folks have used under consoles for general down lighting/accent lighting and how the lights were installed.

My passenger console has a flat bottom of plywood that is covered with carpet on the bottom side. My drivers console is just wide open underneath, really no flat surfaces under there to speak of.

So I pulled the carpet back or trimmed it and wiped it with alcohol. When dry I used the tape it came with I then used clear silicone adhesive and calked it on the sides of it. Under the wheel it is NOT glued to the black trim but just above it. I reglued carpet... l wires were tucked under carpet or under the lips siliconed in. I centered them so the light was even... Hope this helps.

I used the standard Boat package (I picked c olors)and the Deck LED xt ProX2 kits. Bluewater was amazing help and high quality product. I'm already working on install on friends boats.
