Ok my boat is on order and I am trying to figure out some stuff before it arrives.
Having Elite 7 ti in stalled in dash. Would like to install a mercmonitor.
Questions,
Will I be able to get any engine data on the Elite ti? Have seen Lowrance video showing engine data on Ti but they were Yamaha. I will have Merc Pro Xs 115 4s.
Any advantage to NMEA 2000 for mercmonitor level 1?
Will I get engine hours from Level 1 mercmonitor?

If the Yamaha stuff is showing then id say the MM will show also.....it works on my HDS units but i have not seen a Ti unit in action. Is there an adavantage, not really, only thing N2K to MM will do is allow you to add overlays to your screen. In my opinion, the MM is more important than overlaying it on the unit, its just a bonus to be able to do that. Yes, the MM will give you engine hours along with all types of other info. It will be great addition if you add it....

A Merc monitor is a must have for me. When you turn key to start it goes through a systems check and will tell you if you have a problem. You get water temp, hours, fuel usage, outside air temp. Lots of info on it.
When I got my used Caracal, I had Sherm install a Merc monitor. Had him take the speedometer out. It tells you everything that's going on with the engine. I don't know anything about whether it can connect to your Elite 7.
