    Highest Team Bowling Set

Last night I subbed in a men's league, and together we shot the highest team set that I've ever been witness to.

    701
    651
    725
    630 (blind) no handicap
    726

That was 3433 scratch, and 3835 total including handicap. I was astonished by how well we bowled together as a team last night. FWIW I was the low bowler on the team only shooting 651......lol

    You all definitely did good!!

I shot a 750 last night and another guy shot a mid 600 something but our other 3 did not have real good nights.

That's some amazing scoring. I bowl in a beer league men and woman mixed teams and my average is a meager 168. If my math is correct 3433 is over a 228 avg. Last time I checked you could be in the top ten on the PBA with a 220 avg.

Great scores! There's a traveling league by my house where the league average is around 222. My average last year was 225 but that's shooting at the same house every week. Couldn't imagine a new house every week or the oil pattern that the pros bowl on.

The house I bowl in changes the shot at the beginning of each month. At least two months out of a normal season there is a sport shot put down to boot. I really like it that way as it keeps you on your toes most times and actually learn to adjust to different oil patterns etc instead of like most bowling houses and stand in the same spot and shoot the same place on the lanes year after year after year etc....

Don't remember the set, but couple years ago we had a four man team game of 300, 299, 298, 229 for an 1126 game. Three of us were locked in that night it was fun.

wow, back in the late 70's and all through the 80's you thought you were the hottest team in the house if you had a couple guys that would shoot 650 and the other three guys would shoot over 600.congrats,that is awesome bowling

I'm just a ~185 average 1 night a week bowler. My high set ever was a 752 on a walled up house shot. Once in a while I get really lucky and bust a decent set off, but I'm not like a lot of the guys in my house either and live for the sport. Once the end of winter season is here the bowling balls get put away and I'll think about it again about a week before winter season starts over again.....lol

I agree, that is a good set. My team shot a 34xx about 20 years ago. We had the high scratch series for the year. Sadly we lost all 8 points that night to a bunch of handicap. The next week we shot 3380 and again lost all 8 points. The following week we shot 3280 and lost all 8 points again. We ended up losing the league title by 2 points. We still had a lot of fun that year.
