300xs constant alarm at idle - goes off with a little throttle

Took the boat out today. A constant alarm was going off as I was putting around at idle speed. If I gave the boat a little throttle, the alarm went off. Motor is a 2007 300XS.

Tonight I replaced the water impeller in case that was the issue. The old impeller looked good, though. I was getting 3PSI at idle with a good stream coming out of the pee hole. At cruising speed, 3200 - 3500 RPM, I was getting about 10 PSI.

I will lake test the boat Saturday to see if the new impeller fixed it. If not, what would you look at next?

You need to have the faults checked, anything else is pulling straws.
