Hey was just wondering what pitch prop is best on the 294. I understand it depends on circumstance and brand. I currently have a rake 2 on it but it doesn't show the pitch on the prop

What motor? Generally speaking a 25 or 26P is best.

i would try a 26 original raker or a 25 renegade with some cup added. or a 25 pitch raker II
Thanks for the info
The E-TECH 200 is a small block and the E-TECH 200 HO is a big block. If yours is a regular 200 then a 24 Raker II is a good starting point. The regular 200 is a 2.6L that is the same block as the 135 HO, 150, 150 HO and 175. It's tuned to make within 10% of 200 HP. If my memory is correct the big block is a 3.3L and goes by the name 200 HO. If my memory is correct it's the same block as the 225 HO and 250 HO. The 200 HO is de-tuned to make around 220 horsepower. All HO models push the 10% rule. Non HO model fall at or within 10% of rated horsepower. This is a manufacturing law. Any motor can not be more or less than 10% of advertised rating. If you have the 200 HO then I would try a 26 pitch Raker II or possibly a 25 Raker II because the HO will have more torque and it also has about 20 more horsepower.
As for the prop you can run a Raker or a Raker II. Raker only comes in even numbers 20,22,24,26. Raker II's come in odd and even number pitch. You can get a 25 pitch Raker II if that's what you wanted to try. The Raker and Raker II mounting hardware are different so if you have both props you have to have separate hardware to mount them. If it was me I would not use a Raker even though they are an excellent prop......the Raker II was designed as soon as the E-TECH started production. The material inside the hub of a Raker II is made of material that tolerates high exhaust temperatures. Plus the exhaust flows in a way that it gets the heat away from the hub faster than a Raker. The Raker has a pressed in rubber hub. On a carburetor motor the exhaust temperature is not that great. A a direct injection motor (E-TECH) exhaust is considerably higher. It's not high enough to melt a Raker hub but its high enough that it could cause it to deteriorate at an accelerated pace and cause hub failure over prolong usage.
The above link with the performance number are with the big block 200 HO. If yours is truly a 200 then you have the small block and more than likely you will not be able to spin a 26...just my opinion
Out of curiosity what's you current prop, max rpm, prop to pad height, wide open throttle water pressure and GPS speed...there is things other than prop that can effect performance.
I have an 08 294xl with the ETEC 200 HO and I run a 26P tempest on mine.
I run a 26 Tempest in the summer and a 27 Tempest in the winter. Both will spin right around 6K RPM.
You guys that are running the 200 HO on the 294 what prop to pad measurements are you set at?
