    Balzout Mount

Is anyone bought one for retrofiting a new graph on the bow of their BCB? I ordered mine for an hds 9 gen 3 and bought the large 12" cuz that's what they said I needed but it seems awful tall but I haven't mounted it yet to see. I didn't want the new unit sticking way up out of the tray but so far. Anybody do it with the smaller 6" tall bracket?

I bought the 9" for my Helix 7, I'm getting it installed Friday. I thought the 12" was too tall myself.

I bought the 12 and it is just right for my old back. I also bought a 6 to mount where the cleat exists now at the console.

Crappie fish fry. It don't taste any better.

I went with the 9, for several reasons, but mite try a 6 in future.
i wanted it centered, plus I enter and exit boat mostly from the bow

the 9 looks taller than it really is.
very stable. Used machine bolts/ nuts, and big washer

Thanks guys. I will dry fit it and see what it looks like but I might trade this one in for something shorter

    Hey Curt,

Yeah I sent you a PM a while back before I ordered to see what height you had. It looked short in the pics, but most everyone said I needed the large 12". The guys at Hawghead Marine were great to deal with and I appreciate the referral. After speaking to Shane with Balzout yesterday, I decided to have them ship me a 6" arm. I may send the 12" back or just might keep it in case I decide to change the set up in the future. If anyone is hard up for a 12" main arm with studs in powder coat red, I have one.

I used the 6" on the bow for an HDS 10. So much better than the heavy duty ram mount I had been using for the last 5 years. Once you lock them down, they don't budge.
