    36v troll battery balance

Im looking to add a 3rd trolling motor battery to my boat. I have a TR21 and right now I have my oil res and cranking on one side and my 2 trolls on the other. If I add a 3rd trolling battery to the side with the other 2 trollling batteries will the boat become unbalenced?

2 batteries on the far port side, and 2 batteries on the far starboard side. The aluminum sheet metal covering all the pumps, in the middle, is not intended to support a heavy marine battery.

Mine has a 1/4" thick aluminum plate in the middle. It has been supporting a battery and charger for about 12 years.

Somebody added that plate in there then, because from the Factory the sheet metal is definitely NOT 1/4" thick......

Yep, mine too. I'm only the second owner of this one and personally knew the original owner and on my other Triton I was the original owner and both were 1/4" thick.

I wish mine was that thick. Maybe 1/8. Not worried about the oil tank, but I think a battery would be a bit much.

It may be slightly unbalanced. I don't think youd notice it tho. Its the same as driving the boat by yourself, you sitting in the boat makes it unbalance, most of us weigh more than 2 or 3 batteries
