There are 2-3 tourneys at Rocky Fork every weekend starting in spring. 10 lb bags on some days won't touch top 10. Best chance at a 20 lb bag in Ohio outside of Erie. Multip 22 lb bags last year.

10lbs most of year will get you a check at Rocky. There are a handful of tournaments where you need more. In general, in Ohio, 10lbs is a really nice bag. Sad but true.

Get yourself a Jon boat, some oars and a skullin paddle and find kaiser lake. It's about 30-35 min north on 235.

    Thank me later....

It can be tough because the locals practice that lake and work their proven patterns. I'm not a local and cashed 4 of 7 tourneys last year. Multiple days with over 30 keepers.

Yep if you want to have fun it's a tone of 14.5 inch fish and some hogs when biting. Won a 3 hour tourney with 13 plus in first 30 minutes.

Thanks for the info guys. Looks more and more like we'll be there by the end of May. Then I'll be in the market for a 225 motor to get my rig going.

I have been all over with my time in the AF, and there is nowhere I miss other than home. I recommend Brookville Lake in Indiana. Not to far and is better than all listed so far. Smallies and Largemouth. Cowan Lake is cool if you want to pond fish, 5-7lb fish. I didn't buy a boat to troll around ponds. I think you will find Ohio fishing is pretty terrible for the most part. If you catch 10lbs consistently you will be winning a lot of money. Even on the Big circuits.
