316jughead, I did not replace the springs when I did the thermostats. Do I need to do them again since I didn't?

I took my brother over to Lake Oconee this afternoon to further checkout the boat and to let him fish since he helped me fix the boat. I did catch several fish. This one was the best at 3-3.

The boat ran great! I am glad too!

Do you remember the color of the springs. If they are red you have the new springs. If they are the original springs they must be changed, that was a directive from OMC.
This will help on getting your motor up to correct operating temp.

I do not remember them being red. I will have to pull one of the springs and check. Thanks for the information.

I have used the boat multiple times now since fixing it. The engine is running GREAT! I am very pleased with the final results. I did hook the alarm horn back up after getting everything else working.

    Thanks again everyone.

And Twitch, thanks for the reeds and I hope your retirement goes as well as mine has.

When I rebuilt the carbs on my XP150, I did install the white nylon washer under the seat. Should I remove them?
