Straps for holding covers on electronics while traveling

I know it was posted on here a while ago, but I can't find the post. What kind of straps does everyone use to make sure the covers don't go flying off your electronics when you're trailer in your boat?

I just use nylon straps/buckles, like you see on a sleeping bag or backpack, pick'em up at Walmart and cut to fit....

    Velcro Wrap

3/4" Velcro that comes in a 15' roll. Just cut it long enough to wrap the covers. Works great!

I think I bought mine at Wal-Mart in the automotive dept.

I bought 2' cable locks for mine. Some one stole my covers because the graphs had locks on them. The company went out of business though. You can buy the 6' models and cut the cable to fit.

I take my graphs off after every fishing trip. When I go to the lake they are in a case that I take with me. They both are mounted on RAM mounts so I put them on at the ramp as part of my pre-launch prep. That way unless someone breaks into my truck they can't get my graphs. I do have locks to lock them if I stop at an onlake restaurant for lunch or a quick stop at the local marina to pick up more livebait or something else I may need. I this is a much better way to keep my graphs secure while going to my favorite lakes.

I'm too scared a rock (or other debris) may hit one in transit to the lake. They travel in the cab of the truck while on the way to and from the lake... Only takes me 30 seconds to mount them once I get there.

I take them off, it is easy and reduces the chance of theft or damage.

Bungee cord when I had hard covers. My Helix 7s have tight fitting neoprene type covers and they wont blow off. I like the soft covers alot better.

I use these, i just leave them on the Depth finder and when I put the cover on I pull them over the cover and tighten them up.
They are called Bundeze... look around they are cheaper than Amazon has them listed
