    Detwiler vs Bobs Hydro Plate

    I know the detwiler is pretty good but I know couple that aren't crazy about them. Anyone running a bobs hydraulic plate on a stroker?

    I would take a look at the Hydro Dynamics hydro plate... I spoke with Steve about them pretty extensively the other day. Very well thought out, super strong and tight tolerances so no play but still lighter than a Detwiler. It also has 7" of the slide plate still in the channel at full extension, so even more when at running height! It's what's going on my boat when their next run of plates is done. I had a Detwiler on my last boat and was happy with it but Hydro Dynamics plate looks even better to me

    i have no experience with steve's plate but i can tell you that bobs is junk. i wore out a brand new set of teflon guides in no time on my blazer. ive had zero trouble with my detwiler.

    Bobs at Atlas are both junk Detweiler or Steves are the only choices IMHO

    Greg, while I've only owned a Detweiler, Brent's Heavy Duty Bob's plate has several years of service on his LCB with ZERO issues. The new Rapid Jack plate looks very nice as well

    Can some one tell me if the Bob's jackplate gauge will work with a Detweiler? I currently have a Detweiler but no gauge. Detweiler's guage is junk.

    I am liking Steve's new plate. The gauge is very nice he offers and I will have on the water runtime on it here soon. It is quick in movement and smooth. One big thing for me is Steve has taken the time to think it over well and is dedicated to being the only USA made plate that also uses USA materials. It does perform and being USA makes it that much better! Thanks

    Tim.. At 27 seconds does the engine move goofy or did the camera get bumped?

    I've got the Bob's Action Jack.. Been quite pleased with it.. Got 2 years on it with zero issues.. Then again, my stuff is slow and I just fish..
