    Procraft 190 super pro setup

I have a 2001 procraft 190 superpro with a 150 Mercury xr6. I am trying to find out the best prop setup for this boat. I am currently running a 25p laser 2 prop which came with the boat. The best speeds I've got out of this boat is 60 mph (gps) with 2 people 25 gallons of gas and fishing load. I don't find the front of the boat lifts as good as it should. I am thinking about trying to run a 23p tempest and see how it does. Any suggestions?

I run a 23p tempest and get 57-59 with a heavy load. But i only have a 4inch jackplate on it, not sure on the motor height. Jumps out of the hole great

it is hard to beat a tempest on a procraft but more info would help, rpm, height, ratio, j.p. etc. solo and light fuel would be about 62-63 mph. sounds better already. nice fishing platform.

Agree, the 23 Tempest has been the consensus prop for the 190 super pro.

I have a 1996 Dual Pro 185 with 175 EFI merc and no jackplate. Went from a 25P Laser 2 to a 25P Tempest. With no vent plugs I couldn't even get on plane (would blow out). Put in fully closed vent plugs and boat pops up better than ever and gained about 4-5mph. May get more top end with partially open plugs.
