    Hole shot problems

I have a 1995 ranger 361v with a 2004 Johnson 150. My prop is a four blade renegade 25/13 boat runs good but if I mash the gas the prop breaks loose. Don't know much about prop setup looking for advice. Boat runs 52 with me and 48 mph with partner. Only turning about 5100rpm. Boat has no jackplate

Looks like you are way off on your set up. That boat should be running in the low 60s. 1st thing I think your 25 pitch is too high. You will need a 24 pitch or maybe even a 23 to get the rpms up into the power band a little better. The next thing is to check the motor height. Most are mounted on the 2nd or 3 hole from the top of the motor bracket. Find a prop to borrow and test with it.

    1) Too much prop for that boat/motor, esp without a jackplate. You would be better off with a 23p

    2) The Gade has the option to run a weed ring which will lower the amount of exhaust gasses and rpm on holeshot
