Anyone using Green(biodegadeable) hydraulic fluid for steering/trim fluid

Just wondering if the stuff PP is using for their pumps is suitable for use in mercury trim and steering pumps??

I personally would not substitute anything other than the recommended fluid (Mercury Power Trim and Steering Fluid).

I would not hesitate to use different fluid , not that fluid but you dang sure do not have to use merc fluid if it is not under warranty .

It is not mercury fluid. It is sea star. I used exactly what sea star said to use. After all, they made it, tested it and decided that was the best thing to put in it. To each is own.
