With the 225 hpdi the 25 T1 V max was the fastest. But I hung a new 250 pro XS on it last week so the set starts all over again.

Anthony ......... just curious ....... did you have to re-rig as well? (throttle cable, shift cable, shift box, wiring harness, key switch, kill switch, etc) Or were there any Yamaha-to-Merc adaptors that helped in the process???

Ranger , used all my controls and hot foot cables. The only thing they had to pull to console was a key switch harness. I also had the smart craft gauge installed and that plugs in key harness.

That's GREAT to hear! I was thinking that Merc/Yamaha had made some kind of adaptor to make electrical harness work between the 2 brands due to there 4-stroke venture years ago ........... but either way, plug-&-play is great!!!! And good to know.

My last Ranger (518) had a 200 Optimax and was rigged with the SmartCraft Gauge ...... you'll really like it ...... I know I did!!!

If you don't mind me asking ..... and if you'd rather PM me that's fine too ...... but was it a local dealer that did the swap for you????
